LIBEBOX / OUR METHOD
How we choose
A useful recommendation explains who a tool fits, what it costs to use, and when to choose something else.
1. Start with one concrete problem
Our first comparison asks how a freelancer can store and share client files. We consider storage, devices, recipient access, encryption scope and payment models.
2. Use identifiable sources
We link to official product documentation and pricing pages, and state the research date. Provider claims are not independent verification. For the cloud-storage comparison, we also completed a limited hands-on test on 19 September 2026: uploading the same non-sensitive sample folder to Proton Drive, pCloud and Sync, creating a link, and checking access and download without an account. We separate these observations from provider claims. We have not audited security or tested long-term reliability.
3. Make the trade-offs visible
We identify plan restrictions, minimum seats and relevant add-ons. A low per-user price can hide a larger total bill. A feature label can hide limits that matter to your workflow.
4. Avoid artificial precision
We do not assign numerical scores without a defined measurement method. We do not claim to have tested performance, support or security when we have not. Where prices vary, we send you to current provider plans.
5. Explain the funding
Libebox is being developed as an affiliate recommendation business. In the cloud-storage comparison, the pCloud link is an affiliate link and may earn Libebox a commission if you purchase. Proton Drive and Sync currently use direct provider links and earn us no commission. Affiliate relationships do not change our test method, evidence or stated limitations; each relationship is disclosed next to its recommendation.
6. Leave room for choosing nothing
If the tool you already use meets your needs, another subscription may not help. Our shortlist is a decision aid, not a complete survey of the market.
Before purchasing, check the exact plan, current terms and recipient experience using non-sensitive sample files.
